I am really excited to be participating in the Color Run tomorrow at Atlanta Motor Speedway! If you weren't aware, the March Color Run in Atlanta was such a success they decided to open a new day! I think I heard it was a record breaker with 10,000 people?! I was actually surprised that many people were not aware of the encore race. Thankfully, I caught the ad on Facebook and signed up! Our team name is "Passing You With Flying Colors" thanks to my friend Elizabeth :o) My team consists of some high school friends, college friends, and even some princesses I found on the Princess Half Facebook page. It should be a great day!
For those of you that are unfamiliar with the Color Run races, I have posted some photos below to inform you of its greatness. It is an untimed, stress free 5K run. It is recommended that everyone wear white at the Start (white headbands are given in your goodie bag, but your shirt is up to you - unless you wear your official Color Run shirt...). At each K, you are hit with a different color - yellow, green, purple, pink and then "color extravaganza" at the Finish! These are the "color zones". Oh, and every 15 minutes they have a Color Run Throw which basically = an awesome color cloud as you can see below. It's all just good, colorful fun!

ReplyDeleteI did the Color Run last weekend! It was a lot of fun! Tip: Just make sure you close your mouth while going through the color stations...I learned that very quickly after the first color station! Have fun! :)
