...Well, it's not summer yet, but I do love that Kenny Chesney song, don't you? Here are some yummy drinks for spring/summer. These would be perfect for Easter this Sunday, no? Also, check back tomorrow for some fun spring recipes just in time for Easter weekend as well!

1 bottle of white wine
1/2 cup Peach Schnapps
1/4 cup sugar
2 sliced peaches
1/2 liter of ginger ale
more fruit (mango, oranges, raspberries, kiwis, etc)

2 cups water
1 cup Stevia
1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 pint fresh strawberries
2 cups sparkling water or club soda
ice
mint sprigs
Bring water and sugar to boil in medium sauce pan until sugar dissolves. Add lemon peel and lemon juice. Let cool. Strain into pitcher. Puree strawberries in a blender and add the lemon juice/water/sugar mixture. Chill. Add sparkling water when ready to serve.

4 cups strawberries
1 cup plain yogurt
1 tablespoon Stevia
1/2 cup fresh orange juice

Soak any fruit (kiwis, strawberries, oranges, lemons, melon, blueberries, etc) in water.

DeleteTo add to the infused water: I have heard of (but never tried) making ice cubes with fruit in them. As the ice melts, you get a burst of fruit flavor to your water! I'm a sucker for drinks & love that they use stevia as a sweetener!
ReplyDeleteThe ice idea is great! I've heard about it for wedding showers, baby showers and such (raspberries and blueberries especially). Funny you say that about the stevia. I actually changed the recipes myself to include stevia instead of sugar. The Tone It Up ladies that I follow are all about stevia being better for you - so I tried to make the recipes a little bit healthier ;o)
