This past weekend my besties, Donna and Jessica, threw me a going away party! (If you didn't catch my Life Update then be sure to read that first so you are all caught up on what I'm talking about.) Pre-party, Donna and I went out to dinner with our moms to Fritti. They have delicious pizzas. I ordered one that had ricotta cheese and spinich. We also ordered vanilla, peach, and (a double order of) chocolate gelato. Yum!
| The daughters and moms ordered the same pizzas! Too funny! |
After dinner, we went back to Donna's house for pre-dinner drinks with the 'rents. Look at all the yummy snacks Donna got for the party:
| The snacks were so yummy - lots of chocolate! |
| Donna also picked me up these cute pens while taking over England last month. I love crazy pens! |
The party included friends from high school and college, so it was a really fun time. I love when both of those worlds combine and I will miss every single one of my Atlanta friends. But, as I tell them - it isn't goodbye because we will still see each other a lot and talk all of the time. Donna already has two NYC trips planned and we are going to Miami in September for a PR conference with Kelly Cutrone!
| Jessica and Jenna were my randomly assigned roommates freshman year of college...and look at us now! I love these girls! |
| Prince William and Duchess Kate decided to make an appearance at my party. I'm kind of a big deal. |
| I've known Donna since 2001. We met during homeroom freshman year of high school. We actually did not really like each other at first, but now she is my oldest friend - if you can't tell from all of the posts she is mentioned in! I met Eric in 2007 during college. I would say we've become better friends since we've both been back in Atlanta though. We would have lunch together while in grad school and now he is the first one I invite on all of my crazy adventures because he always says YES especially to fun races and workouts. |
| I met Charlie in 2007 as well. We met through friends and he walked me back to my place one night so I could change clothes, grab my car and rejoin the party we were at. It was a long walk so we had time to chat, and we've been chatting ever since! Literally - probably everyday about the most random things. |
| Ryan and I have been buds since 2005. He started dating Jessica our freshman year of college, so we hung out a lot. He also lives down the street from me in Atlanta! We had a lot of random fun times together from playing board games or Nintendo on Saturday mornings to a spring break trip to Key West! |
| I love when different groups of friends combine! I like bringing people together. |
| Almost a full group shot! |
| These girls are my besties for life! |
| We were dared to go in this random pool... |
| ...so we did, of course! |
| BESTIES! |
Don't you just love your friends? I hope that even though I'm in a different state I will still be able to talk to this group a lot and hopefully see them from time to time as well. Make new friends, but keep the old ones, right?! Let me know any great friendship stories you might have in the comments below!

I love my friends, too... I have a post coming up about this - and just why exactly, but for now, my freaky story about my friends is how we all are freakishly becoming tighter & tighter. And family. My cousin (who I didn't know existed until college) went to the same college as me, and she found me on FB so we met up, hung out, and became great friends. After I started dating my now hubs, I basically became friends with all his friends from high school.. Well, one of his friends started dating my cousin, they got married. At my wedding, one of my bridesmaids started dating one of his groomsmen, and they are as good as married (we are all waiting!). And, I swear if they didn't live 800 miles apart, my nephew would be dating Laura R. from high school, completing our ridiculous family/friend circle. Also, that pool looks super shady, and I would've never gotten into it! :P
ReplyDeleteHow cool! So neat that all of your "groups" are combining. LOVE! And, yes - the pool was tres shady, but we had to do it! ;o)
