Girl Crush: Lo Bosworth

Photo from here.

Once again I feel as though I haven't done a Girl Crush post in forever, but I have a fun one this week!  I've been a fan of Lo Bosworth since Laguna Beach aired in 2004.  She always seemed different than the other cast members.  Maybe it was because her parents seemed a little strict (ex: when they wouldn't allow Lo to go to Catalina Island with her friends), but Lo always came off as the "mother" of the group in my opinion.  Not in a bad way though!  She always had great boy and fashion advice to give her friends as well as some witty remarks every now and then.  Even though some of her comments came off a little mean, I still loved her.

I loved her more when she joined the cast of The Hills during the second season.  We got to see more of her personality and her personal life.  While she still gave great advice to Lauren, I think Lo actually became funnier on The HIlls.  Let us not forget that she was the one that gave Justin his nickname - Justin Bobby.  Classic.

In 2008, Lo graduated from UCLA.  Other than working her fabulous day job at Octagon Entertainment, Lo has a website, The Lo Down, and a book of the same title.  Unfortunately, it looks as though her website hasn't been updated since March, but she does tweet often.  You can follow her here.  I bought her book when it first came out.  It is completely different than the books Lauren Conrad writes.  She gives advice on a different topic each chapter.  In addition, as she is giving friendship and relationship advice she throws in her own stories and her friends' experiences, which I enjoyed.  If you are interested, you can purchase it here

Even though she isn't in the public eye that much (so I don't know too much about her), I added Lo Bosworth to my Girl Crush list for a few reasons.  First, I loved that she attended UCLA and didn't just continue on with the reality television lifestyle.  I also think it's cool that she turned herself into a brand by launching the book and website.  In addition, from what I've seen from The Hills and Laguna Beach, Lo is always a really good friend to have.  (Although are Lauren and Lo still friends?  I haven't seen them together recently and I don't think they are roomies anymore!)  Lastly, I just think she's gorgeous and I love her style ;o)
