Happy 26th Birthentine's Day to Me!

Not only was yesterday Valentine's Day, but it was also my 26th birthday!  I decided to kick it off by taking a 5:45am SoulCycle class before work - my first Rooster ride!  I was so touched and excited to see that many of my friends decided to join me for class bright and early!  When I walked in, the studio was decorated for Valentine's Day, and Bike #4 was decorated with a birthday balloon for me!  How cute!?  The instructor, Conor, said I should send him some song requests if I had them, so I sent him a list of songs I'm loving to workout to at the moment.  I thought he would pick one or two at the most, but I was surprised to find that he threw most of my requests into the playlist.  The class kicked off with "Ho Hey" by The Lumineers which I probably listen to at least 3490457 times a day.  Toward the end of class, Conor told me he wanted me to jump on the instructor bike for the last song.  I was really nervous to ride to "Sweet Nothing"by Calvin Harris (another song request!), but I was also really excited.  It was so much fun!  At the end of the song, the SoulCycle Team brought me a cupcake!  Yum!  After the ride, I grabbed breakfast with some friends before work.  I ordered chocolate chip pancakes and milk.  A morning of sweat and sweets is a perfect way to start a day in my book!

Some friends and I post-ride!

By the way, they got me a Thin Mint cupcake from Crumbs which is really thoughtful since I've been trying to hunt down some Girl Scouts to calm my cookie craving recently. Supposedly there is an app for that!
bling, bling!

My friend, Portia, dropped off a Sprinkles cupcake with my initials on it! How cute?!  My friend, Penn, gave me a Valentine's Day bag filled with my favorite treats (and coined the term "Birthentine's Day" in her card).  Lastly, my family got my Peter Pan on DVD because it's my favorite Disney movie ever (and currently out of the Disney vault)!
After work, I went into the city for a family birthday dinner!  I picked Serafina Fabulous Grill (on 61st between Park and Madison) which you might remember from this post from last August.  It was the perfect place to go because they have heart-shaped lobster ravioli! Seafood + ravioli = a few of my favorite things!

Even the Empire State Building is celebrating my Birthentine's Day!

Thank you to everyone that made my 26th birthday a wonderful day!  I had such a great time.  Now only 364 days until my next one ;o)  Did you have a happy Valentine's Day?  How did you spend it?  Let me know in the comments below!

Stay fit and fabulous,
